Description
BackTrack is a concept bushfire evacuation device designed to help people make clearer decisions during rapidly changing emergency conditions.
Developed as my final-year Industrial Design capstone, the project explored how predictive bushfire data, location and situational information could be translated into simple, intuitive directional guidance. In the unpredictable environments wild bushfires present, Backtrack aims to communicate one thing clearly: which direction gives you the safest path forward.
The final outcome brought together industrial design, interface thinking and real-time data to explore how a dedicated device could support clearer decision-making when time, visibility and certainty are limited.
